Firstly, we’d like to thank you once again for your continued support with Vito Taxi.

You will be aware that a number of your members have elected to utilise Penso in Coventry to have the service measure carried out and feedback has suggested that this has proven a resounding success. The team at Penso are experts in dealing with this element of the vehicle and share our focus in ensuring the work is completed as quickly as possible. With this in mind, we would like to recommend that all future upgrades will be carried out exclusively by Penso in Coventry. We have also spoken with Midlands Truck and Van, the local Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealer to Penso, who will work closely with them to ensure that any other minor defects identified can also be rectified during this process. We would point out that any additional work would need to be paid for by the operator.

We are aware that Taxis need to be ready to pass their Public Carriage Office checks every six months and Penso will be focusing on those that need the upgrade first. We have also spoken with Transport for London; they are happy with our approach and with Penso’s involvement.

We’d really appreciate you sharing this message with your members; their feedback has been vital to the development of this programme.
